ANHEUSER-BUSCH DONATES CANNED WATER TO AID HURRICANE VICTIMS
Brewer Delivers 4,300 Cases of Water to Louisiana and Mississippi Locations

ST. LOUIS (June 12, 2006) - In response to requests from city leaders, Anheuser-Busch is delivering much-needed safe drinking water to residents in New Orleans and Bay St. Louis, Miss., who are still without water from 2005 hurricanes.

Anheuser-Busch is donating 4,300 cases, or 103,200 cans of drinking water to the Christian Relief Group, 5520 North Marconi in New Orleans, and Lagniappe Presbyterian Church, 647 Demontluzin St., Bay St. Louis, Miss.

In addition to the above, Anheuser-Busch has pre-staged 100,000 cases of canned drinking water to prepare for potential needs during the 2006 hurricane season in the Southeast United States and in areas around the Gulf of Mexico. The water is stored at local Anheuser-Busch wholesalers, enabling relief agencies to deliver water immediately should a hurricane strike these areas.

“Anheuser-Busch is always willing to lend a hand to our neighbors in times of need,” said Mike Harding, vice president of operations for Anheuser-Busch. “Water is a precious resource that we all take for granted. As a good corporate citizen, Anheuser-Busch is proud to be able to help these communities in Louisiana and Mississippi.”

“Few companies have the ability to package and distribute drinking water as quickly and efficiently for relief agencies as Anheuser-Busch,” says Harding. “Our nationwide network of breweries is capable of producing the water and our independent wholesalers distribute it to those in need in a matter of hours.”

This most recent shipment of water was packaged at the Anheuser-Busch Cartersville, Ga. brewery. Metal Container Corp. in Rome, Ga., a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch Cos., supplied the cans.

Helping communities cope with natural disasters has been an Anheuser-Busch tradition since 1906 when Adolphus Busch made a donation to victims of the San Francisco earthquake. In 2005, Anheuser-Busch donated more than 9.4 million cans of safe drinking water to victims of natural disasters. Anheuser-Busch, its charitable foundation, its employees and independent wholesalers donated more than $3.8 million to the American Red Cross.

Based in St. Louis, Anheuser‑Busch is the leading American brewer, holding a 48.8 percent share of U.S. beer sales. The company brews the world’s largest-selling beers, Budweiser and Bud Light.
